Thanks for your comment on my blog. I added you as a friend, hope that's okay. In answer to your question--yes I do have a lot of excessd skin and it's not pretty in any way. But since surgery to remove it is super expensive and my insurance won't cover anything having to do with weight loss (even bariatric surgery), I'm learning to live with it. Clothes can cover a lot. Today I have on a Spanx top underneath my blouse to hold in my sagging boobs and flabby stomach. I don't wear anything with sleeves less than elbow length, becuase of my horrible upper arm excess skin, and the same is true of my upper legs, so I don't wear short-shorts. But I do wear shorts that come to my knee, and I even went to the hot tub at my hotel during my vcation last week. It took some courage to remove my knee length, long-sleeved cover-up when I got to the tub--BUT I DID IT. You know what--I figured that I had worked hard to lose weight and get to a normal size, so I had earned the right to go into a public hot tub. But it was still a hard thing to do. Good luck on your journey--you're on your way. We're never too old to get our lives back and be normal again!

Hey, just read your comment on my page. Are you a camper? My favorite place (we go every year) is Union Bay on lake Superior. I love to go to sleep listening to the water on the rocks!! lots of places to hike, bike etc......

I have to ask, what part of Michigan are you from? My in-laws are from Scottville, Ludington, and Shelby. I also have to ask... what is the kidney disease from? I am facing a kidney/pancreas transplant myself. Mine is due to Type 1 Diabetes x 35 of 36 yrs.

And thank you for adding me as your friend! emoticon
