Need to get Fit!!!

Hey everyone! I'm a 40 yr old wife and Mom of 2 teenagers. I hope that by joining Sparkpeople I am able to find the help I need from thers to motivate me to exercise and eat better! I want to enjoy life more with my family and I feel that I can't do that while being at this weight!

WELCOME You CAN DO IT!! Im New At This But I Once Weighed 300 lbs in 2001 I did all the diet pills , etc Nothing works except CHANGING YOUR THINKING CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE :) That Is What I Had To LEARN, Now I Eat Better and EXercise 5 Days a week FAITHFULLY, Im Not saying Its going to be EASY but IF YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN ACHIEVE. I Myself Am Also depressed but I have to say that since i eat better and exercise I FEEL Better, Im currently at 240 lbs im no where at the weight i want to be, BUT Together We Can Get There, and I Love Me Again Which Was the HARDEST Thing Ever, Have FAITH and You WILL Goo FAR, Best Of Luck

Welcome! The most important advice I can give you is TRACK! Every bite that goes in your mouth gets counted. Gum? 10 calories. I bite of a chocolate bar- 35 calories. That extra 1/4 sandwich that the kid left on his plate? 100 calories. They all add up. emoticon
