Starting again.
It seems like I keep telling myself this month I will make a change but then never follow through. Well, this month I WILL make a change. I have set realistic short term goals. I have made it 1 week and am looking forward to next week. My family history is pretty bleak, so I NEED to make this change to counter it. My father died at 54, my mother at 64. I would like to be around to see my grandchildren (my mom only had 1.5 years with my child). My sister had a life threating ...
It seems like I keep telling myself this month I will make a change but then never follow through. Well, this month I WILL make a change. I have set realistic short term goals. I have made it 1 week and am looking forward to next week. My family history is pretty bleak, so I NEED to make this change to counter it. My father died at 54, my mother at 64. I would like to be around to see my grandchildren (my mom only had 1.5 years with my child). My sister had a life threating medical issue which was made worse by her weight. I have managed to avoid health issues but as I get older, I worry more and more.

My Goals:
1. Track my food daily and do my best to be within my calorie limits. 2. Exercise at least 4 days a week for 30-40 minutes. 3. Post a blog at least 3 times a week to help hold me accountable.
My Program:
I am trying to make better choices with my food--more fruits and veggies, more whole grains, etc. I am also reintroducing my body to exercising regularly.
Personal Information:
I am a very private person so don't have a lot of support. I am hoping I have the strength to follow through. Thanks to some degree on anonymity on Spark, I feel comfortable blogging and sharing. Thank you!
