Time for a change..one step at a time!

My name is Kristin, I'm 29 years old and live in South Florida. Since I was a teenager I have always had issues with weight fluctuations. I would be good, then gain a lot, then lose it, and re-gain. I have been on regular diets, weight watchers, and even weight loss pills (about 12 yrs ago).

I got married in November 2011. When I had my annual checkup appointment in July this year, I had learned that I had gained 30lbs since my wedding!!! I guess it is true what they say, when you are happy, you tend to gain weight. It really didn't help that my husband is an Italian chef! LOL I had passed the 200lb mark and immediately thereafter signed up for Spark People.

The realization of the fact that I let myself gain 30lbs in 8 months combined with my family history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes I really got that "kick in the butt" I needed! My ultimate goal is to lose 50 lbs by the end of January. After that I may continue with about 15-20 more pounds.

Looking forward to the journey and reaching this goal and keeping the weight off!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 50lbs by the end of February (had to change my goal since I didnt have enough time by my birthday in Jan). Hopefully I can get there. Then I may continue with 15-20 more after that.

I am working on obtaining my CPA license so that is another big goal of mine.

My Program:
I have been tracking my nutrition, fitness, and other goals daily. I am doing the Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout for the Xbox 5 times per week and also do crunches and other cardio exercises. I am taking it a little bit at a time so I don't lose motivation.

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful South Florida. My profile pic is actually from the penthouse of the hotel on the morning of my wedding day!

I married my best friend on November 11, 2011. He is absolutely wonderful and extremely supportive!

Well, I am still trying to figure out where I went wrong this week. It seems like every week I try to incorporate something new, I end up not losing much weight. Again I only lost a half pound. I'm not sure if it is because of the shakes or what. I may just try sticking with cheerios or yogurt for breakfast this week and see what's going on. Besides no weight loss really this week the shakes were good. Kept me full through lunch. Some days I had to force myself to eat lunch at 1-1:30pm.
