November 2012. Hi my name is Kathy and I am a processed food addict. My story is a familiar one. I needed help and I found it on SP. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and a Sparkie. I lost 58lbs in the first 9 months after joining SparkPeople I kept the weight off for almost 18 months then I let personal speed bumps derail me over and over again. I know that staying on track is never easy .. but I want to be stronger than my addictions. I know that I am not alone. There is always someone here willing to offer me a hand, an ear or a shoulder.

For 35 days I have been climbing. I am climbing Mt HF&W (health, fitness & weight) More often than not the road is crooked and very rough with lots of fog and storms. It is 65 miles (lbs) to the top from where I am now. I am aiming for an average of 1 mile per week allowing for some slippage and falls. I have climbed 10.5 miles so far. I know the climb is easier at the bottom when the load is heaviest. I'm too far down to see the top. It is up there in the clouds somewhere but I know it is there because once I lived there. I will live there again. One step at a time.

Just finished another book that has main characters living in your home land. The book title is "A Town Like Alice." It is pretty good.

I guess we are warm weather cruisers. This was a great cruise and we saw some unbelievable things, but it rained 5 days and was on the cool side. We still got into all of the towns and enjoyed our time. There were more people on this cruise than we have ever had before, that was the largest Princess Ship we have been on. Out Cabin was great and we got such a good price that we were very pleased.

It is HOT, HOT, HOT here. I am sure you already know about that, so I am inside. I have so much laundry to do and the yard looks bad. I hope to be able to get out and do some work.
