Update 9/9/2013.

I've fallen off the bandwagon since October of 2012 when my 2nd job that I had been working for 6 years closed and for some reason, this life change that should have helped me with my diet because it was a restaurant where I frequently ate what I shouldn't instead did the opposite. I totally stopped working out and watching what I ate and now I"ve gone from 184lbs with muscle to 211 lbs with flab. That sucks! I feel like crap and am tired all the time and now I ...

I totally stopped working out and watching what I ate and now I"ve gone from 184lbs with muscle to 211 lbs with flab. That sucks! I feel like crap and am tired all the time and now I have a new 2nd job where the challenge is figuring out when I can eat, what I can eat and where I can eat. Plus, I'm back to being a "sodaholic" When I got my workshirts for my 2nd job and the XL was too tight, I felt so awful about myself that I had undone all my hard work and sacrifice. I'm really unhappy with myself lately and now that I've finally replaced the 2nd job and we'll be doing alright again financially, I really need to get myself in shape so I can feel better and have more energy for both my family and my jobs and myself. My daily backpain is my constant reminder that I need to get back in shape.

Update 12/2/2011.

Still working out with Liveexercise.com and my Bodylastics bands and truly loving every workout...I've never looked forward to workout out as much as I do now...it's a great thing! :) I do cardio on my offdays from the Chiseled workout show and I've drastically improved my diet starting in October and have since started to see the results of my strength training! Woohoo! I have a cheat meal once a week where I get usually a burger and fries from the restaurant where I work and figure it's probably way over a 1000 calories but somehow I still loose weight and on Thanksgiving I totally overate for 2 days, but still came out loosing 10 lbs for the month of November! Insane! I am on top of the world right now! :)

Update 6/22/11.

I've ditched the Insanity workout for the time being....I started over and did 3 days of it and a combination of things have made me decide to do something less insane until I'm in better shape to do the Insanity workout.

I've been doing about a week of liveexercise.com's "Chiseled" workout and absolutely love it! They use bands from Bodylastics.com and you definitely feel the burn working your muscles. The guys doing the show are a bit goofy so I've really taken to their personalities and really look forward to each workout....It's free to join liveexercise.com and I encourage each of you to get an account and check it out, they have live and archived workouts for Pilates, MMA training, kickboxing, football training, baseball training....Cardio Chiseled which looks a bit like P90x, with the combo of Plyometrics and strength training. It's a pretty impressive site, that's for sure. I'm also working on getting 30 minutes of cardio in everyday....

Update 3-16-11.

I started Insanity workout on March 7th, 2011. The first couple days, I was excited and pumped. Now, I can't believe I committed myself to this torture however once I complete my workout, I feel proud of myself and remind myself that the end result will be a much fitter, healthier, better looking me which will give me more energy, a better outlook and some added confidence! I used to get on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day while watching TV...while that and changing my eating habits did help me lose 55lbs, I didn't think I was very fit, I just lost weight. I'm going to actually be fit this time! Woohoo! :) Dear lord, please help me make more smart food choices and this shall all come together nicely!

I'm tired of my clothes getting tighter and tigher....I had lost 55 lbs back in 2003-2004 and went from 225-170lbs and a size 44 waist to a size 34 waist. I felt so much confidence and I was healthy, so healthy I didn't have to take any medications any longer...it was awesome, I even got back into my favorite pastime of skateboarding...all at the age of 30. Now I'm 35, and am back up to 220 lbs. I feel so out of shape, I don't skate anymore and I have zero energy. I work 4 nights a week at a restaurant and am allowed to eat whatever I want there! This is both a blessing and a curse. I have not lost any weight at all since 2006 when I took this job. They have fresh salads I could choose from, but I always end up with Fries, some greasy sandwich and many sodas. HELP!!!! I wanna feel and look good again!

Dinner is Chicken or Fish with Vegetables

Wed Night - Cheat meal (Burger & Fries)

Very minimal soda

No Caffeine.

I'm the IT guy at a library and I love working with computers. I have a great wife and 2 adorable children. I enjoy skateboarding any chance I get and I love the Lakers! I grew up in Nebraska and have Husker blood in me...GO BIG RED!

Dude, that is awesome! I haven't been on here in some time, but I am still maintaining the results I got from my insanity workout, as a matter of fact, I ended up shotting down a couple of pounds as well. I've just been maintaining a healthier diet and not eating as much as I used to. Keep up with what you're doing. I can notice a big difference from where you started. All it takes is time and dedication. Awesome job man!

Hey you're doing great with the bodylastics...way to go! Me...not so great. I had good intentions but never really got into them. I've been sticking to my walking and cycling religiously though...however I haven't been really strict on my eating, so right now I'm still about 20-25lbs from my goal and maintaining :). (That's after one whole year...I need to smarten up!!) Anyways really happy to hear someone doing the workout and getting benefits...I think I may take it up again!

You know, if it's at all possible, it may benefit you to do the workouts earlier in the day. It definitely helps me get on the go when I need that boost of energy. I noticed I am nowhere near as worn out and exhausted from the day as I used to be. I would attribute the gas and burping more to what you ate as opposed to what you drank. That being said, the soda needs to GO! Either that, or do what I have done on occasion...have one can on Sundays: if you can even finish the can. I got myself to the point where I may open a can of soda just for a sip and put it back in the fridge for someone else to take. Water is the X-factor here, man. Just keep working at it, watch when you hit a month into the routine. You'll be surprised by the results. Shoot, you might not even lose weight, but you will definitely see a difference in your appearance. Just remember to always give it everything you got. Sure, you might have to take more breaks, but once you take that little moment, get right back into it. Don't feel bad either, because the people on the DVD take plenty of breaks too...INCLUDING SHAUN T! He might say "let's go check out how this person is doing"...that's just code for "DAMN I'M TIRED, LET ME TAKE A QUICK BREAK!" You're doing great man, keep it up!
