I am thankful God gave me a strong body.
I CAN make healthy choices every moment.
I CAN be better than I was yesterday.
I AM better than I was yesterday!
I will stumble, I will fall, but I WILL get up and be BETTER and STRONGER than ever.

I have learned that without God everything is harder! When I put Him first everything falls into place. And it couldn't be more true here, on this journey. With God as my focus I can do anything I set out to do. ...

I have learned that without God everything is harder! When I put Him first everything falls into place. And it couldn't be more true here, on this journey. With God as my focus I can do anything I set out to do. I am determined to be healthy and strong, and set a healthy example for my children.

I joined Spark in 2007. My weight had settled to 175 after my youngest son was born. I used the nutrition tracker and I walked everywhere I needed to go. I also managed to sqeeze in yoga once a week. I lost 35 pounds in 4 months and I was thrilled. Then I had a few setbacks and gained back 5 pounds, then 5 more... well 4 years later and 20 pounds heavier I came back. I've been here pretty much the whole time but I really wasn't taking advantage of the site and I really wasn't exercising. I didn't realize how much less active I am than I used to be. I never had to fit exercise in - I was just active. That realization has made a huge impact on my journey. My focus shifted from wanting to be thin to wanting to be strong and energetic again. I've learned that every moment is another chance to be the best me I can.

Thanks so much for the SparkGoodie. It's always so great to find new SparkFriends and know that we're on the same journey. The one thing I've learned since being on SparkPeople, is that it is not a good idea to coast. At first, I lost such a great amount of weight, got up into the mountains, and then the fall came, and somehow I, like the forest, seemed to slow down in my growth. However, it is a different day now. I've got to take it easy on myself, but I also want to be ready for the year to come, for the trails untouched and the sunsets unseen. So, to be with energetic, like-minded people is just great. Thanks for your friendship and inspiration. Forever may you run! I see one of your goals is to run a 5K. That is cool. It's my goal too. I like the way you have your goals laid out on your page. Makes me wonder ... ... since mine are still penned down on a piece of paper. ;)

Oh my gosh I totally blew it this summer. I am just working on getting back on track myself. I feel very disappointed in myself. It sucks when your only real obsticle is yourself.
