Kello's Weight Loss Journey

Hello, my name is Kellie (Wayne calls me Kello) and I'm 23 years old. Basically, I'm here because I'm only 23, and I'm 50 lbs. overweight...that just shouldn't be. I know that I could lose the weight easily if I tried: my body is (underneath all the fat) athletic, but I just can't seem to stay motivated. :-(

My whole life I've been known as an eater. I out ate a 22 year old army guy when I was 10 in a pancake eating contest...a ''good'' sized meal at McDonald's for me was 2 Big Mac Meals and a large ice cream, but it wasn't until my late teens that all that eating started to catch up with me. Still though, I sat at a comfortable 130-135 until I was around 18. Then I went on the Depo shot (birth control) and gained 30 lbs in six months. I gained another 15 lbs in the next two years, when I reached 179.8, I was done. I had always said (I even promised my boyfriend when we first started dating) that I would never be over 180, and I intend to keep that promise, to him, and more importantly, to myself.

I thought the dieting part would be the roughest...but that's easy! It's getting my lazy but up and doing some exercise that's my real issue.

I would ultimately like to get all of my fruits/ veggies/ meat/ milk from local farmers, so that it is all natural, but I will build up to that. I am also looking into local places to buy *very* fresh fish so that I can work that into my diet too.

My Goals:
**My primary goal is to drop down to my optimal weight of 125 lbs. (maybe, I haven't been that low since like middle school, so we'll see if I need to lose more or less once I get close). In the process of doing this I would like to tone up..uhh..everything :-)

**I want to bench 200 (1 rep).

**A flat stomach...I don't need a "pack" of any kind, just flat would be nice!

**Make strategies for staying fit 2nd nature, so I can continue to stay at my optimal weight for*ever*!

**Ability to run 5 miles, and be alive afterwards

**10/31/09: 160lbs.
**11/29/09: 155lbs.
**12/31/09: 145lbs.
**1/18/10: 140lbs.
**2/14/10: 135 lbs.
**3/10/10: 130lbs.

My Program:
--Eat b/w 1200 & 1500 cal/day.
--Cardio 5x/wk: 30 min.
--No soda: I will miss thee Dr. Pepper!
--10 pushups a day!

If only I had a pullup bar in my house! I'd go CRAZY on that thing! My bootcamp trainer had a great idea for training for chinups. He has us put a chair under the bar, then hop up to the full chinup position and hold that for 10 seconds, then slooooowly let ourselves down. Really targets the "inbetween" muscles. :) Keep me updated on how you're doing!

Yay! Welcome back!!! Don't be too bummed, I read through my Spark blog last weekend and realized that I should have hit my goal like three times over. I let myself get sidetracked every time. Oh well, it'll happen eventually! Start small, good luck!
