If it was easy it wouldn't mean as much! Go for it!

I'm 54 years old have been with SparkPeople for 3 years. I've learned over this time that I have more stamina than I ever thought possible to make so many healthy choices for myself.

I am married with 3 kids and have worked the overnight shift for 24 years. My kids are 21, 19 & 17 and it's all they've ever known. They've been busy with sports and school events and I've found that it's been so hard to keep up with everything for them and live healthy.

I've recently started a new phase of my life and started a year long training to become a Certified Health Coach with Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I am learning a ton of new things about healthy living and eating. I am looking forward to a new career to spread my healthy lifestyle to new people.

My Goals:
1. Lose 31 pounds - lost 25 so far

2. Drink 16 glasses of water daily upon recommendations of my chiropractor

3. Continue my 10 minute exercise streak. Over 1000 days right now!

4. Strength Train 2 times per week.

5. Run a half marathon in October

7. Focus on my year with IIN to become a Certified Health Coach.

My Program:
I am logging my Nutrition and Fitness daily.

Eating healthy.

Going Organic as much as my budget allows.

Getting my family to eat healthy also

Completed 30 days of 10-minute daily exercise challenge and will keep my streak going. I'm at 1188 days and going strong!

Personal Information:
My name is Kelly.
I'm from Omaha, NE.
My husband, Ed, and I have 3 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs.
I work the 3rd shift as a pharmacist.
I love to read and find that it's hard to balance my love of reading with my need for exercise. Since I work the night shift I have had trouble fitting exercise into my life on the days that I have to work and life interferes.

'HUGS and hope it's a great Sunday. Hope the healing is coming along. Hate dental work. But it's a necessity for health. **SIGH**

i've been at it for 2.5 years. while the kids were growing up who could afford it? I had 2 cavities but some chipped teeth in front from chewing hard tings, I'd been to the dentist before that semi regularly about 10 years before that, nothing hurt and I flossed and did what I could.... now that I'm getting closer to retirement. and i was paying supplemental dental I have 4500. a year benefit and I've had 7 crowns done and one implant that is almost finished. It is a long process, skin graft, then the post drilled into my jaw, and healing between, got the impression for the crown in Jan just waiting for it to come in then I am done! so I do understand
