To strive every day to make one positive choice that will lead to additional positive choices!
I'm 53 years old have been with SparkPeople for nearly 2 years. I've learned over this time that I have more stamina than I ever thought possible to make so many healthy choices for myself. I've worked hard to raise my kids and now I want to focus on myself and getting healthy and strong. I am married with 3 kids and have worked the overnight shift for 22 years. My kids are 19, 17 & 15 and it's all they've ever known. They've been busy with sports and school events and I've ...

My kids are 19, 17 & 15 and it's all they've ever known. They've been busy with sports and school events and I've found that it's been so hard to keep up with everything for them and live healthy. Now that they are older and no longer dependent on me I've put myself first more often. I wish that I would have done it when they were younger so we could have some memories of me exercising with them instead of watching them. It's never too late!

Personal Information:
My name is Kelly. I'm from Omaha, NE. My husband, Ed, and I have 3 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs. I work the 3rd shift as a pharmacist. I love to read and find that it's hard to balance my love of reading with my need for exercise. Since I work the night shift I have had trouble fitting exercise into my life on the days that I have to work and life interferes.
