Well I hit 50 and circumstances prevented me from getting fit by then but I am recommitting to being fit in 2011. Just as soon as I can really exercise again I'm going at it full steam ahead.
I go to exercise class twice a week most weeks. I have numorous walking and exercise DVDs. I also have a Wii and a Wii Fit. I am trying to use all of them a little more than I have been lately.
I live in the little town of Spring Mills, PA, about 20 miles east of State College and Penn State. I grew up in Florida so I like warm weather.
I have been married for 20+ years and have 5 children (3 of my own and 2 Step), and 8 grandchildren (3 step and 5 of my own).
I like to camp and hike and ride my bike. And of course being with the grandchildren as much as possible.
I also belong to TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). I reached my goal in 2000 and am currently in leeway, which means I am a KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly). You can be 3 pounds above or 7 below your goal to be in leeway.
Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm in Quakertown, so about 3 hours away from you. I do attend all the PA SRD events so if you ever attend we would probably meet. I just received my tracker and getting use to it, haven't reached 6000 steps as of yet but I'm working on it.
Thanks for the good wishes for my Mom and prayers and for the explanation of what leeway is. I have stressed eaten over the last several days and have put on a couple pounds. I have fallen for those Magnum ice cream bars now crave them daily. ugh.
