I'm trying to lose weight and get healthy.
The first picture is on my 50th birthday in 2003.
Unfortunately, I've gained weight since then -- as you can see in the second picture. And lost weight..... YAY!! Still more to lose.

May 9, 2010 -- And I've gained more weight since then. I feel unhealthy. Time to come back to Spark.

July 17, 2013 -- I'm still struggling with my weight. But now it's time. You know how that feels. I have a physical challenge, so it's harder for me to walk now. I feel terrible in my body. It's time.
The last few months, things have come to my attention that have urged me towards becoming a vegetarian. The final push was finding out about the "Eat To Live" program while I was surfing the net for [unhealthy] recipes. So I came back to Spark and found the wonderful ETL Group who have helped me through the last 3 days following the ETL program. And they don't even know how much they helped me yet! Going to join the group now....

March 8, 2014 -- I am thrilled with the progress I have made -- down 3 jeans sizes. It's much easier for me to walk and get around. I plan to lose at least 20 more pounds.
The new picture shows me on June 19, 2013, and me on March 1, 2014.

August 14, 2014 -- Over a year on this plan and I've lost 45 pounds. I've gone down to size 16 jeans. I am still extremely happy with this plan. No cravings. A little bored with the food, but I'll just have to try more new recipes.

I'm live in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
I'm originally from New Jersey. My husband is from NL. We moved "back" July 17, 2006. I love it here.


Other Information:
I love to read and knit -- not at the same time! lol! Tho sometimes I listen to books on tape while I knit.

I also love cats, bunnies and alpacas. I love dogs, too, but don't have any right now. Our alpacas are in NJ.

    thanks for reading and commenting on my blog can´t wait to read your recipe when you post it.if you look round spark team you will see alot of teams just to do with cooking as you said you wanted to experiment more several of them are vegan/vegaetarian direction.have a great sunday

    Hi Kola, I guess parchment paper woks well? it doesn't burn or anything right? I checked out silicon liner on amazon but it was bit pricey.
