I am an outgoing, cheerful person who is dragging around extra volume and wants to be leaner and remain healthy for a long time.
My previous efforts to lose or manage my weight have been successful because I eat healthy foods. The last couple of years, though, portion control has been something I didn't want to focus on. Now though, I am really appalled by my appearance, and I want to be sexy and healthy again on the outside to match my inner self.
In 2010, I was following South Beach which allowed me to lose more weight rapidly then take a break. Now its back to more salads and raw foods, & am just learning about the Eat To Live program in 2011. I feel better and just got good news from my doctor, too.
Now for 2012 I am trying to get become more active. I got a hula hoop, am working out 2x week, walking on the beach every Sat with the DP & cut back on the alcohol. It's hard when you watch sports on TV with pals and they have a couple beers but I would rather eat and keep it healthy so that's what I'm striving for this summer.
I started a new Team for Gov't Workers - whether local, state or national so I hope if you qualify you'll join us. I'm very new to being a Team Leader & can use some support in that regard however I have lots of experience at working toward the weight loss goals. **Update 0 this never got much of a following so I continue to drop into other groups. Let me know if this needs to be reactivated.

I am attending Fit Plan at ny physical therapy office 2 x a week. I plan my daily food intake the night before so I know how much I can have and make sure to work in good snacks. Cutting carbs worked for me but now I'm doing Eat to Live instead.

I started a new Team for Gov't workers and Public Servants - both active and retired employees can join.
I love koala bears and have collected them for years. It is important to me to protect these fuzzy vegetarians. They can teach us how not to stress out.
Track what you do for one month then follow these tips: Go back to making coffee (i.e., Eliminate Starbucks at $3.50 per day, times 5 work days, times 49 weeks – allowing for vacation & holidays = save $857.50 a year.) & cook meals at home (i.e., Eliminate fast-food lunches at $6.50 per day, times 5 work days, times 49 weeks – allowing for vacation & holidays = save $1592.50 a year.) If you did both, you could save $16,788.00 in one year and buy a new car. Eat a lot of soup or salad: vegetables & a little meat; cook your own dried beans & peas; GOMPS
