I'm 44, and I work out regularly. I'm lucky to have a small home gym and I can head there any time of day. I am always adding to my video collection, sometimes use the Elliptical and I'm thinking of purchasing a treadmill.
Sweets and salt are my downfall. I just don't seem to have the willpower to resist.

My Goals:
I set a weight goal so I have something to work towards. What I really want is to fit back into my too tight summer clothes.

My Program:
Every month I set a goal for the number of days i will workout. So far this year, I have exceeded that goal each month. I strive for 6 days a week, cardio at least 5 of those and usually 3 weight training sessions. I've now added SparkGuy's 1000 days of fitness challenge to my routine, so even on a rest day, i do 10 minutes of something.

IDEALLY, HOW OFTEN, HOW MUCH, AND WHAT KIND OF EXERCISE DO YOU DO? DID YOU WORK-OUT THIS WEEKEND?
FOR ME; EVERY DAY, 15 MINS. OF CARDIO, EITHER 12% INCLINED WALK @ APROX. 3 MPH. ON TREADMILL, OR SWIMMING LENGTHES. HEARTRATE APROX.145/MIN. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS PLAN IS STILL IN THE" IDEAL" CATEGORY FOR ME AS I HAVE MISSED DAYS.
I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT THE ACCOUNTABILITY FACTOR, AS JUST WRITING DOWN THAT I ALLOWED MYSELF TO SLACK-OFF BECAUSE I'M ANEMIC, DEPRESSED AND HAVE PMS,(BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!), IS JUST TOO LAME! ALTHOUGH, THAT'S WHAT I TOLD MYSELF FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS.
THERE SHOULD BE AN EMOTICON SHOWING SOMEONE(LIKE ME) GETTING KICKED IN THE MAXIMUS GLUTIMUS!
