Going To Do It For Real This Time!

I've tried this whole "diet" thing before, only to have life get in the way and I gain the weight back. This time around, my hubby and I are doing it together. He's got quite a head start on me, but a much larger amount to lose. He's my inspiration to lose weight and get healthy for our two kids, and they are our motivation. I'm even trying running for the very first time. I haven't run AT ALL since P.E. class in high school....20 years ago! This should be interesting.

22 minutes for a 2 mile run is pretty good if you ask me. I am currently running a 12 minute mile. When I finish my 3rd run this week I am going to concentrate on picking up speed and probably start to add 2 or 3 minutes to my runs etch week. Crazy to realize that I enjoy running after all these years. I am hoping to make it to running a 5k in my basement before my 38th birthday.
