My name is Kate (I'm 28) and a married mother of an adorable 3 year old little boy. I work in sales and love my job as well as my life! I'm super spoiled, my husband goes to school and stays home with our son. He cooks and cleans too!! My only issue is for the past few years, I'm just gaining and gaining. I've always been very thin and my thyroid issue as well as lack of excercise and awful eating habits has brought me here.
I'm tired of having to wear plus size clothes. I'm tired of always worrying if my stomach is showing. I'm tired of feeling like nothing fits right. I don't even like to go anywhere because I'm so concious of my body. I feel like the skinny, real me is trapped. I also hate having my picture taken, because no matter how much time I spend on my hair and makeup. I can't hide the fat.
I'm looking forward to tracking my progress and meeting some new friends! I think the support and motivation from others will be helpful. My husband is behind me 100% as well, which is a plus!

I'd like to lose at least 100 lbs. I know I'll never get back to my old weight (118), but I'd be happy around 140-150.

I've cut out a lot of the bad carbs, bread, rice, pasta, chips, junk, and I'm adding more fruits and veggies to my diet.
I've also started working out at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.
I've added more fiber to my diet as well.
I've been married for almost 5, and my pupmkin will be four in a few weeks. I love to spend time with my family, hanging out. I have awesome friends who I don't see enough! I love sports, especially Basketball, Go Pistons!! I read a ton, pretty much anything that's not lovey dovey. Anything else you want to know, ask me.

I just learned about a Plus size Yoga Class in Rochester. It's at the Red Lotus Yoga Studio. It is taught by a plus size instructor Jean Charette (who is also a massage therapist). It is a small class of 3 students so far. I went this past Friday and loved it! While I can't do some of the poses, it was okay and she came up with modifications. It was so relaxing!!! Not intimidating at all!!! I really hope they continue the class....so I am spreading the word around. I had zero experience and you can just jump right in...I am not affiliated in anyway.
