Shedding the Pounds for a Family

Hello. My name is Kari-Anne, and I'm a newlywed living in the St. Louis area. I adore my husband and our fur babies, and I love my job working with elementary students.

There are many reasons why I want to lose weight, but the main one is so my husband and I can start a family. Just last year I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome due to my obesity. Prior to starting a family, it is my goal to lose this weight. I cannot even begin to tell you the feelings I felt when my doctor told me that with PCOS I have a 50 percent chance of miscarrying with each pregnancy that I have. Even one year later it is still quite difficult to talk about.

I am a Christian who is learning to grow closer to God. I've always believed, but I haven't always been the best church goer, but my husband and I are attending more. I am slowly working towards being the Christian wife that I aspire to be. I really enjoy reading, and you can always find me catching up on my DVR. I'll even admit that I have recorded a few episodes of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." Yes..this is very true. I love just spending time with my family and friends, and I'm a firm believer that money does not buy happiness. I'm an eternal optimist, and I believe that life is too short to not be silly.

My Goals:
Lose 90 pounds.
Exercise five times a week.
Drink at least 64 ounces of water each day.
Stop drinking soda.
Cure myself of PCOS.
Start a family.

My Program:
I'm debating whether to follow the 1200 calorie plan, or follow a plan that is similar to Weight Watchers, but it is free. I really liked Weight Watchers in the past, but it is more difficult to do without becoming a member. Past that I also plan to eventually work out five days a week. I'm starting this off slowly as I don't want to burn myself out as I have done in the past.
