Becoming healthy is a gradual process for those of us who never really made it a priority before. For many of us women it is a challenge just to learn to take some time for ourselves without a feeling of guilt or selfishness. Learning to value oneself as much as we value our loved ones seems very odd in the beginning, but we really are just as precious to them as they are to us. Really.

My Goals:
My primary goal is to change the way my family and I eat. I want to prepare more unprocessed foods and superfoods for us. I want to explore the culinary world of natural foods. I think if we can do this, the other healthy habits will fall into place gradually and naturally.

My Program:
I am incorporating whole grains, less meat, more legume-based meals, minimally prepared meals, and making other small changes.

Personal Information:
I live in Central Florida where we enjoy a long growing season and a diverse variety of fruits and vegetables in the markets.
