My name is Kira, and I currently live in Nashville, TN. I am a graduate student and a candidate for ordination in the Episcopal Church.
I initially joined SP to lose weight for my wedding on June 7, 2008 and got down to my goal weight of 120. But after the wedding, a combination of getting "fat and happy" and the stresses of grad school, working, and being a wife took their toll. I'm now back up to where I was before and am not happy about it.
I love to cook and am often tempted by some foods that are not-so-good for me, particularly baked goods. I try to use Cooking Light and Eating Well recipes as my inspiration, as well as keeping portion sizes under control. I'm kind of a foodie, which makes eating healthier that much harder!
Exercise-wise, I go to the gym and usually do the Arc-Trainer and strength-training. If it's a nice day, Joe and I live by a greenway and enjoy going on walks together.
Goals - 125 by my ordination in June, run a sub-2:30 half marathon in April, lift weights 2x a week

Exercise: running, walking, and strength-training.
Food: Making healthy substitutions, coming up with a new repertoire of healthier meals, getting servings of fruits & veggies. Cutting out a lot of the cheese and extraneous carbs.
