I Get Knocked Down, But I Get Up Again!

This is my third, or maybe even forth time back here on the site. I lose weight, I hit a plateau, I get frustrated, I get off the site and gain all the weight back plus some. Sound familiar to anyone? I am the living definition of a vicious cycle.

2014 is my year! I'm turning the big 4-0, and it's time to get serious about getting healthy once and for all! I've finally realized that I'll never be model thin, that I'll always be short and squat, just like the rest of the women ...

I've finally realized that I'll never be model thin, that I'll always be short and squat, just like the rest of the women in my family...but I can be slimmer, healthier and more fit, and that's more than worth the effort.

This quote really speaks to me: "Losing weight is hard. Maintaining weight loss is hard. Staying overweight is hard. Choose your hard."

I choose to lose my excess weight and maintain it. I choose to be healthier and feel better, too. Bring it on, 2014.

Track nutrition and fitness on SparkPeople!

Elliptical training, Zumba, hiking...aim for 5 days of exercise a week (at least)

Aim for 8 glasses of water a day

Sleep more, sleep better hours, no more 4am nights!

Read, don't play video games (keeps me awake)!

Living in S. California, but missing friends and family in Boston, MA area...let's go Pats, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins!
