You need two feet to JUMP

My name is KJ and I owe it to myself not to GIVE UP. So I am JUMPING back into the race yet again! I realize that the only way to do it is just start again and move from where I am..... can't change or undo the past. I have let so much go and spent so much time taking care of others... I need to start putting me first again. So its time to put a PLAN into Action and my BUTT into Gear!! I am 47 years old and I am responsible for ME!!!

I have had to reset my track since I am now up to 240 pounds which means I now have a total of 75 pounds to lose. I am currently job searching (once again unemployed so its about time to get off of this pity pot and start again....

My Fibromyalgia is always painful with good days and bad days but I will be sure to log some decent pool time doing water aerobics and going to Zumba whenever my daughter is teaching.... Biggest issue as of today - 12/12/12 is I think I have broken my big toe and it is rather painful to walk.

I am going to start by making a conscious effort to track my food intake and get off the sofa and start MOVING -- no matter how bad I feel.

I realize that I can't and I won't live in this body any longer. It won't do the things I want to do and get done. So, I am waging war on my fat. This is my personal war and I will win.

I am the mother of 3 grown kids and Grandmother of two gorgeous grandchildren ages 9 and 5 who I am actually getting to spend more time with these days.

Life is GOOD, I need to count my blessings and shout out to the world that I live very happily with my boyfriend Jimmy and our two cats in SC.

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."
-Rae Smith

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske
