My Goals:
I am bridesmaid at my friends wedding in five weeks so would love to lose a few pounds before then!
I also would like to be able to be a slimmer me for my husbands 30th birthday in March!

Hi! I'm Jypsy and I drive a truck for a living, and have 3 adult kids and 3 stepsons and have been married for 5 yrs to my current hubby. If you need a buddy, I can do that for ya, and you can be mine. Sparkpeople says I have 50 pounds to lose, but I have 100 really. Driving a truck is a fattening job, and I'll be leaving the proffession in May to go to college online. Message me any time!

Hello and Welcome to Spark... this site is amazing and it offers all the tools you need to reach your goals. I would recommend joining a few teams... making friends is a great way to stay motivated and supported. Beyond that I would just use your trackers daily and remember to track your sodium.
Under the "My Tools" tab you will see a link for Sparkpoints, doing the things you can to get your points daily will help keep you active and learning and the more you are here the more connected and invested you will feel. I've been here since Nov. 9, 2009 and have really learned a lot about myself, food, and exercising. I truly feel joining Spark was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I've managed to lose over 100 pounds in that time.
One of the best tools is the nutrition tracker. You will be shocked when you enter a typical day's food! Try to track everything you eat and stay within your limits. Donít panic if you slip - we all do! Just put it behind you, you canít change it, and move on. One of the main concepts at Spark is to take two steps forward for each step back!
The fitness tracker is also a great tool. You can track your steps, mileage, cardio exercise, and strength exercises. It will tell you how many calories you have burned.
Take time to make lots of Friends and tell them when you reach a goal or are having a hard time. They are here with praise and support all the time! Don't be afraid to ask any question, no matter how silly you think it is.
Take time to explore Spark. Read and respond to message boards, blogs, and other members' pages. Join challenges on teams. The help, support, inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and friendship you will receive is awesome!
The site can be confusing at times but just keep looking around. There is really a lot of valuable information here!
