I'm obese. I do not want to be obese. I hate feeling like a bull in a china shop and I hate not being able to fit into cute clothes. I'm willing to admit that the primary goal of my weight loss is to look better. Secondary is being healthy, because I also hate getting winded just walking up a flight of stairs. And I hate not being able to give myself a proper pedicure because scrunching over to get to my feet causes the fat to cut off my breathing room.

I wish there was a quick fix, and I've looked for and tried a bunch of different things. I'm now willing to admit that there's no magic - just good food in the right proportions and lots of hard work. I'm certainly not great at the whole process, but I'm trying and I can use all the help I can get.

My Goals:
To shop for clothes sizes that don't have X's.

To be able to run without dying of a coronary.

To be able to flirt or date without being embarrassed about my weight.

I know I'll never be one of those psychotically active people, but I want to be more active and only inactive when I feel like it - not because activity is difficult.

My Program:
I finished school, so now there's no excuse for me not to get moving. I'm tracking calories and going to the gym, and am starting personal training sessions to get my muscles burning more than ever before.

Personal Information:
Eh, I'll leave out the horribly introspective muck...

I'm an opinionated Tech geek with an overly analytical personality that directly conflicts with my overly imaginative inner child. I'm constantly at odds with myself. Think business professional with a big vine tattoo down her arm bopping her head to techno music. Oh, and I love sparkles. And cats. And dessert, which is fairly counter productive to my weight loss. I like and find so much stuff interesting that I'd probably have to make updating this a full time job just to list it all.

Happy Sunday. Hope you're summer is going great. Are you still on track to do all you can today to reach your goals tomorrow? If so, great! If not, what can you change today that will help you feel accomplished? One little thing. Drink more water? Cut out soda? Go for a walk? Small changes add up.

You made me laugh cause I understood you.I always say omg I hate trying to do my toes or even put on socks even just putting on shoes agh! I am telling you cleaning the house must be done in stages1.because I get exhausted quick and 2. Because I don't want to do anything after that are you crazy lol . You should hear some of the conversations I have with myself in the morning cause our Matress is on the floor so getting out of bed is an ordeal. I am over there so pissed I gotta fight to get outtta bed its funny if it wasn't true. Then the killer is our shower its weird kinda in shape of a triangle but I am the shape of an apple so the whole time I'm cursing the stupid shower and the plumbing again funny but frustrating. I hope I made you laugh and hope to hear from you soon. emoticon emoticon

Good luck at personal training tonight! You're going to do great! I remember my first session. I hadn't met Yoda before because I'd signed up with a fitness counselor and they (luckily) assigned me to Yoda that day. I hated myself while he was measuring me and I remember being so embarrassed. But trainers are there to help. You can't improve if you're perfect! ;) So, don't be nervous. He's seen it all and he just wants to help!

Thanks. I just wish I could pick up and get out of here. It was so tough to quit 2 months ago. Then to stay because of the promises they made, and to watch them break all of them and have to go through it all again. I can't wait to bail out.
