My Final Melt Down

I'm Beth. I'm an artist, writer, and mom in Richmond, Virginia, and I'm TIRED OF MY CLOTHES BEING TOO TIGHT! I put on a LOT of weight with my second pregnancy and managed to drop most of it in the first 18 months or so. I have a stubborn chunk to go and I am motivated to send it packing. I'm Beth. I'm an artist, writer, and mom in Richmond, Virginia, and I'm TIRED OF MY CLOTHES BEING TOO TIGHT! I put on a LOT of weight with my second pregnancy and managed to drop most of it in the first 18 months or so. I have a stubborn chunk to go and I am motivated to send it packing. I'm looking for folks that can use a cheerleader to push them towards their goal who would be willing to do the same for me. I'm so glad to have found SP!

I lead a fairly healthy lifestyle. I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, don't drink or smoke, and am active with my kids all the time. My bad habits? I eat my kids' leftovers, often snack before bed, and don't get enough "regular" exercise - all things I'm currently working to improve.

I don't weigh myself unless it is absolutely necessary, I prefer to use the good ol' tape measure or the fit of my clothing to best judge my size and shape. I'm pretty muscular (constantly lifting a 45-lb. kid helps with that!) so the scale does not really give me a clear picture of my health.

My Program:
Not so much counting and managing calories, more just common sense choices and portion sizes. Regular cardio (walking/running seem to work best for me); gardening and lifting kids all day for strength work.

Hey Beth~Glad to have a new spark friend :o) We do have lots in common....all the way down to the red hair and my middle name is also Beth. I'm re-starting my weight loss plan today and so far so good...still trying to remember not to nibble on the kids leftovers too. How do I log eating 2 bites of chicken fingers???LOL! Time to go log my meals~

Thanks a bunch! I guess one of the things we have in common is our name - my whole family calls me Beth, but my friends call me Liz. I guess it's too much to ask, to have them all call me Elizabeth! :P
