Back In The Saddle

Here we go again!

I'm a part time music teacher, part time toddler chaser (AKA mom) and I've got 170 pounds to lose. I've always been heavy, but I've hit a point where I'm just not willing to live with it any more. A friend suggested this site, and so here I am. I've had weight loss success before, but never anything permanent. I'm looking for a new way to be.

My full time job is office manager/coordinator, etc. for a safety swimming pool cover company. I work out of my home, which I love. It's really busy this time of year, though, for obvious reasons. I do love to play the piano though! I practice an hour a day on most days.

I admire music teachers in school, especially the younger grades - you're so important!

What music do you teach? Just wondering because I'm a part-time piano teacher...at the moment it's just barely part time because my other job is full time plus. But I keep my foot in the door and am active in the music teacher's association. emoticon Keep cool!

Thanks for my Sparkgoodie and the note. I'm just starting to dig through the people I owe comments to. The proposal writing finally ended last week. I had hoped to get caught up on SparkPeople posts on Thursday and Fri, but since I hadn't been doing ANYTHING while I was working all that overtime, it turned into busy days of errands.

I also need to get back to the Oasis, and I absolutely will. But I'm heading to Disneyland tomorrow for 4 days (yeah, poor me), but it still means less computer time.

And I found out I won't be laid off on May 5th. No guarantees for June, but at least it's not happening on May 5th!
