I'm a student that is looking to FINALLY finish her BS in Biology within the next two years, commission into USAF, and then have the government send her to med school on their dime before working with Doctors Without Borders for life. :)
I'm a former Miss San Antonio, and after being forced to give up my crown in Dec 2010 (due to my weight!) I realized that my priorities needed some shifting.
God is #1 now. I've also since found out that I have Borderline Personality Disorder (the DSM-IV description is inaccurate, should you choose to research... look for a peer-reviewed preview of the DSM-V). Having BPD is like a constant mental and emotional roadblock. I'm finally starting to acknowledge that I am also a bulimic. I'm looking for positive, unflinching support, as any sort of setback has the potential to send me into an emotional tailspin.
I KNOW we can all reach our goals together... if you feel like getting to know me, feel free to send an email or comment my way!!! (I'm crazy busy, but I WILL try to respond in a timely manner... apologies in advance if it takes too long!)
I want to be a USAF surgeon and eventually work for Doctors Without Borders. I also love being the center of attention, so while I'm in school I'm still pursuing my love of music, modeling, and emceeing just about anything. Hopefully I can still be in the public eye as a physician doing some education with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Doctors Without Borders, and any other charity work I can get into. I have a huge heart :)
-BodyRock workouts 6 days per week, and/or bike rides, lap swimming, and runs.
-Trying my hardest to follow Zuzana's diet tips!
-Cheat/rest days are Sundays.
-This quarter (late July-end of October 2011) will allow me to swim early mornings Mon and Tue before lecture with BodyRock workouts in the evenings M-F. Saturdays I'll fit in what I can, when I can, mostly in the mid-afternoon.
I am a music FREAK. Some of my favorite artists include: Incubus, Metric, Crystal Castles, Prince, Passion Pit, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead, Casting Crowns...

Wanted to comment re effort - you posted something on the 'death to fat' workout thread.
I wear a HRM, so I have my heart rates for all these workouts, but don't post them.
They do vary a LOT from workout to workout (and probably how energetic I'm feeling tbh!)
Looking back, my 12 min workouts go from 60 - 120 cals burned, so quite a difference
For this particular one, my max HR was 89% (159) and avg 78% (138). In burned 92 cals.
I agree that I feel like I'm working real hard - for me, it feels like more effort than running, but my avg HR when running is usually higher than 89% i.e. the max for this.

The move was fast! Thanks to some friends and family, the new place was cleaned, we were packed, loaded, transported, unloaded, unpacked and had stuff put away in about three days. It's starting to feel like home!
I see in your profile that we like many of the same bands. :) Particularly Prince (because he is a band all by himself LOLz) and Radiohead. Do you sing or play an instrument?

we weigh the same and I also have an issue with self distorted image! I think you look great though. you need to post the progress pics, they will help you in the long run.
