I'm a mother, wife, sister, friend, worker, etc. The same as many other people reading this page. I've finally gotten to a point where I am so very happy and, for once, it has nothing to do with whether I'm heavy or thin. What a relief! However, I did recently see a photo of myself and thought: wow - that's one heavy girl. :) I have decided to do a slow and steady approach to getting healthy, so I can breath when I tie up my shoelaces, and I don't have to turn my body into a pretzel for ...

My Program:
I am tracking my food. This is far and away the most helpful thing I can do to keep myself on-track. I am also slowly adding in exercise. I am looking forward to slow and steady (emphasis on steady) progress.

You should definitely try an event! Even if it's just a one-mile walk, they are fun!

Thanks for your comment. Believe me, I understand--getting into a pair of size 14 jeans this week thrilled me to bits! But I am really focusing on my health and not letting the scale dictate my life, and that's making me a lot happier.
