1000 miles

I am very excited to be working toward a new goal. I plan to run 1000+ miles in 2012.

This goal is perfect for me. I know it is attainable...aka...success plan. It will keep me motivated throughout the year to keep running. I don't need to worry about time...it is the distance that matters, so I can run slow if I want, but can push myself to run faster if I feel up to it.

I can fit in a few 5ks, 10ks, and a half or two!

My Goals:
Run 1000 miles in 2012

get my afternoon binge eating under control


My Program:
Workout 6 days a week, 2 strength training, 4 running.

Use interval training and hills to work on my speed.

Increase endurance by maintaining at least 1 long run every week.

Count calories, stay between 1200-1600 calories per day.

eat yogurt or other healthy snack in the afternoon and avoid afternoon binge eating

Lady you truly inspire me to try harder. I keep going back to your blog about this is the new me. It is my mantra when I have a hard time getting going. If you can do 1000 miles this year sign me up for 500. I will catch you next year. I just signed up for my first 10k. Big hugs, Barbie emoticon

Happy New Year! Sounds like you've set some great goals! I checked out your most recent pictures - you look fantastic! I'm so proud of you. I need to get back on the band wagon .... so to speak. I will. I'm still using excuses - and I know I have to work on that. But with everyone's help - I'm sure I'll be back soon. I am so excited about how great you have done. Keep running - it suits you!
