About me - I have been all around this roller coaster of life. Currently living in NYC, had gastric sleeve surgery on May 4, 2015 (after years of saying NEVER!!!) because my health issues related to my weight were finally becoming a problem in my day to day life. Finding that weight loss surgery is FAAAAAAAAAR from the easy way out, rather it is a tool that you have to keep working every day in order to make the changes necessary for lasting weight loss and health.

I'm also a knitter, crafter, reader, foodie, theatre geek, and Disney fanatic. If you walk past me with a dog, I will probably try and pet it...I may try and take it home.

Fitness Minutes: 1,990

My Goals:
- Feel strong and healthy

- Lose 100-130 lbs.

- Run the Disney World Half Marathon and/or Marathon before I graduate college

- Go into my 30's a healthier person than I was in my 20's


My Program:
Moderation Not Deprivation - Mostly vegetarian, lots of veggies and whole grains, allowing treats here and there.

Exercising 4-5 times a week split between running 2-3 miles (to start, would like to work up from there) and full body strength training 2-3 times a week.



Personal Information:
Born and raised in Portland, OR - Moved to NJ for college when I was 19 (didn't finish college but stuck around the area for 10 years) - Moved to Western North Carolina in summer 2010 and am back at school full time for theatre.


Other Information:
When I was 21 I was in the hospital for a month with severe pancreatitis due to gallstones. After a year of bouncing back and forth between home and a hospital they finally took my gallbladder out. I know how to eat HEALTHY because my body makes me suffer if I fill it with junk. My problem is eating normal portions of the healthy food.

    I just had to say WELL PUT! I'm STILL trying to fully commit my brain to the idea of food in general, instead of "good" and "bad" food. But I know that being on the road to that place has really helped me.
