In the Promised Land

The Bible says our bodies are 'fearfully and wonderfully made.' I never thought of my body that way until recently. God has made me a body that despite all the abuse it has suffered over the years carrying excess weight, is responding to healthy eating and exercise. I am no longer on insulin injections, and I have stopped taking another diabetes medication altogether. My last test results reported me as Non-diabetic. Thank you Lord.

Update: In March, my doctor decreased my medication again. Down to 1/4 of the high blood pressure medicine that I was on before I started with Spark People. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update: I'm still off Diabetes meds and down on Blood Pressure meds but I've put on some lbs. It's harder to stay thin than it is to loose the weight the first time. There seem to be so many days where I am out during lunch or babysitting which throws off my exercise and diet plan for the day. Visiting Spark People every day and recording my exercise and food intake is key for me. Well God's mercies are new every morning so counting on that I will begin again. Pray for me please.
