Hi, my name is Amanda. In the spring of '09 I had worked my butt off to 135lbs and I felt great. Then I gradually stopped exercising and watching what I ate(Stupid Stupid!)...and it was a massive train wreck. I kept trying to get back into my routine but I would always fail. Now I am certain that I am back. I must get rid of this extra weight!

I'm not going to be just satisfied with less 'weight' anymore. I want to be fit. I want to be able to have control over my entire body. I used to take lessons in aikido and I'm going to start those again once I get my weight back down. I also want to look into learning gymnastics....

I'm very interested in free running. I would like to train myself to be able to do things such as that...

Further back story (For those who want to read):

I first noticed a problem in my weight when I was in 5th grade. I remember, I was on the playground and the cheerleaders were doing pyramids. I got very jealous of how easily the one on top soared through the air. While watching them, I overhead their discussion about how much they weighed. When I realized I weighed no where near what they did, I was very upset.

So, that triggered diet after diet, always failing. When I hit my freshman year of high school, I got serious. Starting exercising and losing weight very healthily, but then I got addicted and soon I had restricted my calories way too low and was exercising way too much.

That didn't last too long, but long enough to hurt my metabolism. It wasn't too long before I began eating normally again. However, soon after I started eating normally again, I REALLY started eating. I went from eating too little to having problems with binging. My weight shot up from 105lbs to the 180's.

Eventually I gained control and started exercising again and got back down to the 160's. I was beginning to feel a lot better. At this point in my life I was beginning college and I had a new boyfriend. Turns out this new guy wasn't good for me at all. He constantly bossed me around and even would pressure me to eat more. I was soon back in the 180's...

One day I decided to cut that negative-ness out of my life. And so I did. I started a new healthy diet and exercise program and managed to get all the way down to 137lbs. I felt great. Though I was only able to maintain it for about 6 months before I stopped exercising and eventually had trouble with binge eating again...

In January 2010 I was disgusted with myself. I had almost hit 190lbs. I kept trying to get back on track, but I just kept saying "Tomorrow, Tomorrow." Eventually I made myself snap out of it and 'tomorrow' finally came. It hasn't been easy and hasn't been perfect, but at least I'm slowly making progress.

So to those who spent the time to read this, don't give up. Things can get bumpy, and hard and obstacles will jump in your way. Though the only thing that really matters is that you pick yourself up and give it your best. Life is too short to feel hindered by extra weight. Work hard now, however long it takes, and do it the right way so that you can maintain it in the long run. You will be so thankful of yourself when you finally get there.
