My Yorkie Tinker
My husband Rick and my son Ryan at Yellowstone National Park
I found this quote on pinterest, I think, and it really spoke to me about my weight loss goals.
"If you hang on long enough, your vision will take you forward and your pain won't drag you back."
I have lost and gained weight numerous times. I'm losing it for good this time. I'm losing weight for my health, not necessarily for a dress size, but that would be nice too.
I consider myself to be a Jill of all Trades.
My life changed in 2010 when I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Suddenly exercise was not easy and made the hurdle to healthy living much higher. I'm a fighter and I will not give in to this disease.
Let's be friends!
My Weight Loss goal is 100 pounds lost.
I have been at Sparkpeople since March 2010 off and on. With various medical problems it has been an uphill battle, but I will not quit the fight.
Hi! I'm Kim. I have a 13 year old son and my hubby and I have been married 20 years. We had a Bernese Mountain Dog named Peyton. He passed away on July 4, 2011 from cancer. In November, 2011 we adopted a little yorkie mix from the Humane Society named Tinker, who rules the house. She has a comfy dog bed in every room for her convenience.
I am into crafts of all kinds but particularly jewelry making and polymer clay. I also like scrapbooking, rubber stamping, and painting. I am also a graphic designer so some of my art is digital. I am also into photography, cooking, homeschooling, and cub scouts. My blog for all that is http://www.hoppinhomemaking.com. Come visit!

Hey you......yes you,
Stop being unhappy with yourself,
Stop wishing you looked like someone else
or wishing people liked you as much as they like someone else,
Stop trying to get attention from those who hurt you,
Stop hating your body, your face, your face, your quirks..
love them for without those things you wouldn't be you
and why would you want to be anyone else? Be confident
with who you are, smile..it'll draw people in.
If anyone hates you because you are happy with yourself,
then just say "screw it, my happiness will not depend on others anymore.
I'm happy because I love who I am. I love my flaws..I love my imperfections..
they make me "me" and "me" is pretty amazing"
~~Love yourself today~~

You are not your age, nor the size of clothes you wear.
You are not a weight, or the colour of your hair.
You are not your name, or the dimples in your cheeks.
You are all the books you read, and all the words you speak.
You are your croaky morning voice, and the smiles you try to hide
You're the sweetness in your laughter, and every tear you've cried.
You're the songs you sing so loudly when you know you're all alone.
You're the places you have been to, and the one that you call home.
You're the things you believe in, and the people that you love.
You're made up of so much beauty, but it seems that you forgot
When you decided that you are defined by all the things you're not.
You're the photos in your bedroom, and the future you dream of.
"YOU" the friend others are happy to have in their life!

""To be Beautiful is the birthright of every woman""
""Being Beautiful doesn't make you happy. Being happy makes you Beautiful.""
""Being Beautiful isn't about having a pretty face. It's about having a pretty mind,
a pretty heart, but most importantly, a Beautiful soul.""
""There's a difference between pretty and Beautiful.
When someone is pretty, they have a good appearance.
But when someone is Beautiful, they shine on the inside and out.""
"If you are beautiful on the inside, you are Beautiful on the outside.
But if you are beautiful on the outside, are you really Beautiful on the inside?
Don't be afraid to be your self, because that is the true Beauty.""
""If you are confident, you are Beautiful""
""You know what's Beautiful? Read the first word again""
Have a Beautiful Day

(I know this is kind of long..but hope you take the time to read it. If you choose to read it, I hope you find it very truthful., as it really makes us think of how the world is today.)
THE PARADOX OF OUR TIMES
Is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers
Wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints
We spend more, but we have less.
We have bigger houses, but smaller families
More conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees, but less sense
More knowledge, but less judgement
More experts, but more problems
More medicines, but less wellness.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often
We have learnt how to make a living, but not a life.
We have added years to life, but not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back
But have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We've conquered outer space, but not inner space.
We,ve cleaned up the air, but polluted our soul.
We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.
We've higher incomes, but lower morals.
We've become long on quantity but short on quality.
These are the times of tall men, and short character;
Steep profits, and shallow relationships.
These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare,
More leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.
These are the days of two incomes, but more divorces;
Of fancier houses, but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window, and nothing in the stockroom.
A time when technology can bring this letter to you,
And a time when you can choose,
Either to make a difference,. or just hit, delete.

It's toughest to forgive ourselves. So it's probably best to start with other people.
It's almost like peeling an onion. Layer by layer, forgiving others,
you really get to the point where you can forgive yourself.
Enjoy your day like you enjoy your cup of coffee each day!
