My Healthy Happenings
As of January 2013, it has been a year since I started a plan of regular exercise and healthy eating. My husband and I decided that it was time to change our lifestyle. With my back herniation, I knew it was time for regular exercise. Losing weight is a bonus to gaining strength and muscle. UPDATE: On April 12, 2013, I reached my goal weight of 133 lbs. Since starting SparkPeople in October 2012, that is a total weight loss of 14 lbs. My plan is to maintain 128 lbs. to 133 ...

My Goals:
The Challenge is to maintain my weight within the range of 133 to 128 lbs. May 23 - 130.8 The Challenge was 10lbs in 10 Weeks (Reboot Feb. - April)! Lost 4.6 lbs. Start Weight: Feb. 1 - 137.6 End Weight:April 12 - 133.0 Goal!!!! Woohoo! The Challenge was 10 lbs in 10 Weeks. I started this challenge at the end of November and lost almost 6 pounds! Start Weight:Nov 23 - 143.3 End Weight: Feb. 1 - 137.6
My Program:
This week: 5/20/2013 *try to stay in the middle of calorie range each day. *exercise at least 10 minutes per day. *drink 8 glasses of water per day. *take 5 minutes each day to visualize a better, less stressed, and happy me. Personal Information:
I am a mother of two girls, ages 5 and 2 1/2, and I also have my own business. This juggling keeps me busy everyday. Since I have a herniated disc in my lower back, it became clear to me over one year ago that I needed to start taking care of myself by exercising and strengthening my core. It seems to be working!
Other Information:
Long Term Goals: 1) To lose 5 lbs. by the end of April. This will be my goal weight. (Goal weight obtained on April 12, 2013!) 2) To be able to use 6 lb. and 8 lb. weights in my strength training class. (Done - I reached this goal on March 19, 2013). 3) To complete my first 5K. (Done - Ran my first 5K on April 28, 2013 in 34:02). 4) To complete my next 5K in less than 34 minutes.
