Mom with baby weight to lose--two years and one colon resection later! I was diagnosed with colon cancer in April 2012, had the surgery in November, and reached my heaviest weight (including pregnancy) in January of 2013. I am sick and tired of yo-yoing up and down in weight, so this is going to be my best year ever. I feel amazing and have a new lease on life now that I've lost nine pounds and am exercising so regularly. My family is the most important thing to me of all! I also work from home ...
I also work from home but travel occasionally for a few days at a time, so I've got a variety of eating challenges facing me: baking supplies tempting me in the kitchen when I am at home, or hotel food tempting me when I am away! Fortunately I love working out and I just discovered karate. I want to kick butt, get skinnier, feel great and sexier and just enjoy life more!

Hi there, Kim,
Thanks for checking in with me. It was a fun and hectic Halloween. The girls were Disney princesses, of course. I ran from one school to another, parade to parade and helped as a room parent for my 5 year old's class. Then, we met up with neighbors for trick or treating in the early evening. I needed a glass of wine when the whole the day over. That was my treat! emoticon So glad the boys had so much fun. I think I need to post the Halloween picture on my site. Hope you are well.
Kim

Oooohhhh you're killing me! I am quite worried about the holidays! I love them and all the food and leftovers!! I purposely started this journey after the holidays so it will be interesting to see how I handle them this year. First to conquer- Halloween. I love candy. I am scared! emoticon emoticon

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie
