Little by little...

I am currently trying to get healthy, run more, and reach my goal! I have come a long ways in the past year and a half, and have a little bit more to go to reach my weight loss goal.

I love to travel just returned from living and teaching abroad in Guatemala. I'm a teacher and got married in June. I'm trying to keep the weight off that I have lost (about 40 pounds total!) and lose a little more...

I have worked very very hard to lose weight, which was about 165 ...

I have worked very very hard to lose weight, which was about 165 (due to college, job change, move, etcin June 2005. I have dropped about 40 pounds because of Sparkpeople and my motivation to become lean and fit.

I picked up running two years ago, and this year I want to run a marathon. I have done two half marathons and a bunch of smaller distances races, any tips or suggestions are always welcome.

My Goals:
- Run a marathon in June or October of this year!
- Eat right, stay fit, and keep off the weight I've lost
- Begin courses to become dietitian/nutritionist
- Get my MN teaching license

My Program:
I watch my calories, fiber, and fat intake. I exercise 5-6 days of the week, which includes the gym, pilates, or running. I love to be active!

Personal Information:
I am from Minnesota. I am 26 and this is my fourth year teaching. I'm trying to make some life decisions - either to continue teaching in a school setting, or go back to school and get my dietitian/nutrition degree to do health education in a hospital setting. Any advice would be great!

Other Information:
I love chick flicks, a good book such as The Time Traveler's Wife, Angels and Demons, The Poisonwood Bible, just to name a few.

Would you believe I usually order the lettuce wraps?! Was trying to spice it up a bit by varying my 'usual'.. argh.. That's what I get for wanting to expand my Chili's pallate! lol

Hey there! Thanks for your encouragement on my page! I will just keep on going and hopefully be down in the 120's and going down soon! I'd like to stay between 120-125 as mny maintenance goal.
You look great at 128! Do you enjoy living overseas? That seems like an amazing thing to do-- teach overseas. What do you teach?

Hi, Kimberley --

Just wanted to say well done -- you look fab!!! Your starting weight is similar to mine, so your pics are quite an inspiration. I noticed you also have vegan lentil burgers listed as a favourite -- I thought I was the only one who liked those! LOL!

When I'm feeling down or like I can't lose the weight I want to, I'll be sure to pop to your page for encouragement!
