Getting Healthy for Life

I decided I needed some quotes about taking action. It is so easy to fall back to the "old me" that I need to read and look at these every day to remember, now is the time. It is not tomorrow, or after this event or sometime in the future.

"Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned."
~ Peter Marshall

"An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory."
~ Friedrich Engels

"He who has begun is half done. "
~ Horace

Today is what I have.

5th, 2010 - What I've learned so far:

1) I need to be active every day on Spark to reach and maintain my goals. This means logging in, blogging and responding to blogs, reading at least one article per day, being active on the message boards, etc.

2) Vacations without sparking and recording do not working for me. Nor does extending the vacation from Spark after the original one is over.

3) Spark does work and I know it will change my life every day for the positive. IT IS ALL UP TO ME WHEN I GET THERE.

4) When I am consistent with Spark I feel good, more confident and do not think of myself negatively.

5) I can and will reach my goal weight, be healthier than I have ever been and stay that way.

March 2010

I have been fooling myself for years. I think I will diet my weight away and "get there", some magical place where I look terrific and my life is absolutely fabulous. I have kept that thought for over 30 years. I realize I have to make a life change, not simply stick with a diet long enough to lose the weight. So here I go....

5/7/10...sitting right at two months as a Sparker. What a change for the better. I am happier, healthier, more confident and surer than ever that I will reach all my goals. I am now twenty pounds lighter as of today. I understand what I need to do to make this into a way of life. The best part is that it fits in well and I am happy to do it. There is a great sense of joy to know I can and will do it. :)

Thank you for stopping by. It was a great day... and I am actually going to do a obstacle course run called the WARRIOR DASH in the fall... right after school starts back up. Will be good for the FALL stress level! It is a 5K with mud, water, heights etc... OH GOOD GRIEF it will be hard and fun!

Hoping hat your journey is going well. My weight loss hit a stand still and actually edged up during the school year. I am aiming for some losses this summer.

:)

If you get the chance you should totally consider a mud run! It was crazy fun and something I never ever thought I'd do, but I did it and I can't wait to do it again! Hee!

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I don't know yet how many colors will be used. I'm thinking of having mostly black and grey shading with some reds and earthy tones to highlight the different elements. But I'll most likely ask the tattoo artist what he recommends since he has a lot more experience with what looks good and what colors will be long lasting.

So true.. the end of year is full of stress... and with all the budget issues, we are up to our eyeballs in people who just are not happy. Makes for tough days. I guess I just want people to be happy they have a job these days... but that is not to be. A change of a classroom is freaking people out ... ARGH!

How are you holding up? Lots of changes for you next year? or status quo?
