The rest of my life...

Wow, it's been a long time since I was on my Spark page! After losing and regaining the same 10 - 15 pounds over and over again, I have decided to have bariatric surgery and get a Lap Band. Not an easy decision, but, I believe, the best for me at this time. Diabetes, high cholesterol, and knee and hip problems have been my motivator! I do have a great support system in my husband and adult children. Yeah me!! So, here goes! Surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday (11/27).

Welcome to Sparks. Yes when you lose the weight you will find that it is easier on the knees too. What made you get a knee replacement? I need one but am putting it off because they say that they have to break my leg before I can get a replacement and that scares me being that it was a car accident that got me in this situation in the first place. Had a broken leg and was in traction for two months and a cast for four months. But they told me this over 20 years ago.

Hi Kim and welcome to SP! I've been a slacker these past couple of weeks and now trying to get back with it again...having a new friend helps all the more. Thank you!

Anything I can do to help you along the path, feel free to give me a shout.
