I'm a 44 year old mother of two and grandmother of one. I recently had hip replacement surgery in December and need to have another surgery on my other hip this fall. Before this I was extremely active and was working out with a trainer and was in the best shape of my life. In the past couple of months I've put on some weight that I'm having a hard time getting back off because of what I can't do anymore (running, jump rope, etc.).

Looks like your facing an obstacle that looks extremely difficult, however theres alternatives to the exercises you can not do..... Yoga, is a great alternative also go on line for exercises you can do. There's chair exercises too! you still have the drive! I cheer you on to the finish line ..... By the way I added you as a friend hope its ok...... add me if you like....
