Lifestyle Change

When I turned 40 in February 2009 my Dr. told me I had hit the "magical number" where my metabolism would take a turn in the wrong direction - I knew I needed to make a change to give it the boost it needed to get me though this new phase in my life! I had dabbeled with Sparkpeople over the years but never consistantly - until 2009 - now I almost never miss a day! Logging in keeps me honest and on the right track! I actually look forward to my workouts and can't wait to log into "my fitness" ...

I currently do most of my exercise outside, but i'm working on a plan to get me through the upcoming colder months. 40 isnt so bad!! It's actually my best year yet!

My Program:
Continue walking 3.5 - 6.5 miles /4-5 days a week
30 day shred-2 days a week
Pilates-1 day a week

Other Information:
Just finished a 16 weeks Biggest Looser Challenege at work - I came in 4th out of 16 participants - 19 lbs lost as well as 5.2% Body fat!! We have one week off and will start again - hopefully we have inspired more people to join us!!
