My husband was just elected to public office in our city, and I'm embarrassed to be seen in public with him. I've never been this heavy in my life, although I've always been physically active. I'm also embarrassed to audition for shows now. My biggest challenge is, well, my husband. He doesn't like to diet or exercise, and frequently sabotages me (however unintentionally! He's a WONDERFUL husband in all other respects!) When he retired, I gained 30 pounds. The nice side effect to his now being in public office is that he's not around as much now, lol - so if I eat a Weight Watchers dinner, he doesn't come in right after me and make french fries and a steak, which I then have to clean up. I just got a WiiFit and LOVE IT!! (Although, I kept my gym membership as well.) I highly recommend it, it's not just for kids. My Goals:
I'd like to lose 20 pounds to start off. I have a pair of jeans that I was able to wear just 2 years ago (when my husband retired) hanging ready and waiting for me to wear them again.
My Program:
Putting it simply: More exercise - less food. For me, little gadgets help - I downloaded 2 applications for my iPhone (Lose it!, and My Weight Loss Coach), and I have this page, and I have my WiiFit.
