House of Faith

I am a Christian, the wife of a wonderful and supportive husband and the mom of 4 beautiful and crazy kids - 2 teens and 2 tweens! I've taken the name of my home school for my Spark Page because I like to think of our home as a House of Faith. I started my journey to a more healthy lifestyle back in 2006 when I took a leap of faith and quit smoking. I decided enough is enough last year and have been working on eating healthier, exercising, and implementing better meal options for my entire family. I hope my efforts will allow me to be around for a very long time to enjoy my husband and family, and to encourage my children to have healthier, happier lifestyles as adults.

My Goals:
My biggest goal right now health-wise is to get down to a healthy weight.

My Program:
I'm doing mostly Treadmill and Taebo. I try to do both daily (1 hour each) and finally able to jog a bit. I do stairs exercises with my friend at work (6 flights 4+ times). We do stairs daily. Also do strength training sessions created by Spark People, and I have the Ab Circle and a Body Works 5000 I plan to alternate with soon.

My trick is to eat a small bowl of soup or a salad before lunch and or supper, it will fill you up more and you won't over eat!! Here is your treat! emoticon
