A Passion for Health

Hi, I'm Kristin. I am a wife and the mother of 2 boys, ages 5 and 2. My first baby was average in size, but my 2nd was nearly 11 pounds! I put on 60 pounds during that pregnancy and after 24 months, I've finally reached my goal weight of 150 pounds. Those last 10 or so pounds were so tough!

I've lost this weight for ME. My husband has always loved the skin I'm in. For the most part, my friends and family have been supportive, but there are some who have tried to sabotage my goals. They should have known better! I'm not a quitter!

I have a blooming passion for health and wellness. Whether it's nutrition, exercise, or living chemical-free, I'm all about it. I'm not perfect by any means. I still have a sweet tooth and it's no secret that I'm a chocoholic. I've skipped a week of workouts before.

I love to talk to others about health and wellness. I'm always trying to recruit others to be more active and eat better. Sorry if I've offended any of you by suggesting a hike instead of a coffee date! I'm just trying to encourage you to be healthy while I continue on my own journey to optimal health! I hope that my energy comes off as encouraging instead of annoying. :)

Awesome! Let me know when you reach 100! I didn't finish the program, as the schedule was conflicting with my training, but after the Half-Marathon is over, I'll get back to it!

Thank you for your kind note.
I chose NASM because it's internationally recognized and has an amazing reputation. It cost me $600 for the book and exam... crazy right? There are others that you can get certified by, but it all depends what you're looking for.

After studying NASM, I completely changed my way of thinking for food and fitness, and it has made a huge difference for me.

Good luck and let me know what you decide to do :)

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I know that I have come to far just to try and sabotage my new lifestyle. I need to blog more to remember that I am not in this alone.

Thanks for your comment on my blog! Check out the site www.hundredpushups.com. It's great and will help you build your strength to do pushups. They're even a One Hundred Pushups Team on SP. The brownie recipe is call Fudgy Brownies and calls for instant coffee.
