My Weight Loss Journey

I am Kandy. I am married for 27 years and have 4 wonderful children. The youngest is 17. In 2 years I will be an empty nester. So hard to believe! I am an RN for 20 years and recently (3 weeks ago) finished Massage Therapy School. I love it so much. Recently my husband climbed a mountain with my avid climbing son. All these things plus feeling so uncomfortable just came to a head one day and I have made a permanent decision to lose this weight and never look back. I have tried many things ...

All these things plus feeling so uncomfortable just came to a head one day and I have made a permanent decision to lose this weight and never look back. I have tried many things but never stuck to anything. I have started a blog (my daughter's idea) which has really helped me because of writing it all down. I love this site for the tracking tools so far. Hopefully, DEFINATELY; this will be the change of a lifetime for me!

I'm hoping to do better next week ... I'll be on vacation ALL ALONE and away from the office and other distractions that consume me. Looking forward to walking, seafood (no, not SEEfood) and reading The Spark on the beach. emoticon

Aw, you are sooo sweet! I noticed above that you said you're going to be an empty nester in two years...I recently dropped off my baby girl (had four kids, too!) last Thursday at college. I bawled my eyes out for two days in a row. But it's getting easier. I get up and there's no dishes in the sink, the laundry hamper is not crammed full and the bathroom is neat! But, I think if I had a choice, I'd have it the other way around again. However, it's what we want our kids to do, huh? Get out there and make something of themselves? It's the hardest part of parenting, I think, letting go!

You're going to do this...you have an absolutely gorgeous smile and you got me in your corner, girl. Us girls, we have to stick together, don't we? Give me a holler if you ever need anything!!
