Hi my name is Kim and from Northern California. I am too dedicated to my work and love my new husband and my children more than anything. My children and my husband are my life. I want for nothing else ( but to loose some weight) haha!
I am almost 41 and have 4 cats and a poodle. I took a leap of faith and waited for 11 years for the man of my dreams and it paid off! I am now sharing my life with him and he with my children and myself. Thank You to my special husband for sticking with me and the kids through all the troubled times! You and the kids are my life! And with that life, I Want a new me! I am glad Spark People are here to help me with this. I want to feel better outside as well as inside. I have struggled with my weight for years and just do not like who I have become. I need to do this for me!

As of today I have been on a plateau for some time now. I have not gotten discouraged, I continue to make healthy choices and work and changing my lifestyle. I have even found myself doing it now out of pure habit! This is awesome for me and those around me. So even though you may be on a plateau, you are still changing your lifestyle!

Well just a few lines to let everyone know I am still on my plateau. Hoping that when I am done with the purchase of my new home and done moving I will be able to get back to the everyday excercise plan I became used to. I am fighting depression due to the plateau I have been on.

My Goals:
I have been given a special diet by my doctor for medical reasons so being a part of SP is really going to be helpful. I need to lose up to 40lbs by Sept. 10, 2007. This is a personal goal I have set for myself. It is my 2nd Wedding Anniversary.


My Program:
I am watching mainly my fiber intake and caloric intake. These have to be certain #''s every day.
Calories 1800
Fiber 30g
Cardio 5x wk 30 min
Strength 3x wk 30 min or more

Calories 1700
Fiber 35g
Cardio 5x wk 40 min
Strength 3x wk 30 min or more

Update 5/7/07
Calories 1200-1500
Fiber 40-45g
Protien 40g

Personal Information:
I am 40 from California and have just remarried for the 3rd time. It is the first time I have ever worn a wedding gown or even had a formal wedding! So for me this was my "Fairy Tale Wedding" . I could have not asked for a better day. My daughter was my "Maid of Honor" and my son walked me down the Isle! The most "Perfect Day!"


Other Information:
I have never had high self esteem and I hope SP will be able to do this for me. I have a tendency to give up early and figure I will never meet my goals.

    I just wanted to say that I am really proud of you for finally finding something that makes you happy and sharing it with so many, You have been an inspiration to a lot of people including me. Although we have our up and downs I am glad you are my big sister and that you are always there to help me back on track. I'm glad we are doing this together because I would be lost doing it on my own.

    Hi Kim,

    I just saw one of your posts in the Community Team Members area. You stated that you "don't have a success story yet either". Not true at all! You are a Spark Person. You have lost five and one half pounds. You have over 5000 points, and have posted well over 200 times!! And most importantly, YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN UP! Do you realize how awesome all of these things are? It is easy to give up; very difficult to keep trying. You are doing what we call "minimizing" your successes. They may not be everything you had hoped for, but they are all indications you're still hanging in there and trying. Five and a half pounds is nothing to scoff at! Go into your kitchen and pick up a five pound sack of flour, or gather enough canned goods together to equal five pounds. Now imagine that weight GONE from your body! Good job, Kim. You're an excellent example of what Spark People is all about....Never giving up!!
