I just got back from a three week stay in Croatia, and I have a whole new attitude on my weight loss. First of all, and I am not exaggerating, all of the women there were thin. Some were too thin, but most were a healthy weight. It was a real eye opener for me. They live their lives eating and drinking when they feel like it, though not in excess. They also walk everywhere (which includes going up and down very steep hills). So, I have adjusted my outlook on weight loss. My goals have shifted for the better. I am ready to take my time and do this right for once and for all.
To start with, no looking back. I'm no longer going to focus on what is already set in stone. I can't change the fact that I put on all this weight, but I can concentrate on making choices to take it off.
The second part of my plan is patience. I have given myself ten months to lose 50 pounds. I think 5 pounds a month is the most reasonable goal I have ever set. In keeping with this goal, I am only going to weigh myself once a month. Getting on the scale any more frequently will only distract me from my overall goal. I am also going to design monthly rewards- if I hit my 5 pound goal, then I get my reward. If not, I'll look forward to doing better the next month.
The third part is 30 minutes a day of physical activity. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are for toning. Tuesday and Thursday are for cardio at the gym. Saturday and Sunday are my choice: any physical activity I want to do. I'm excited to find activities that are fun and that I can look forward to.
Finally, the fourth part of my plan is eating habits. I am going to do my best to stick to three meals and three snacks a day, incorporating protein throughout, and limiting carbs that don't come from whole grains.
So, with that, I am looking to the future and taking everything day by day. As long as I stay focused and follow my plan, I know this will be great!

15- workout outfit
25- NYE outfit
30- Dinner at MP
40- Night in AC
45- $150 Shopping Spree
- 30 minutes of activity a day
- burn at least 1500 calories a week
- eat around 1500 calories a day
I'm a teacher from southern NJ. I got married in July of 2010, and currently live with my husband's parents and grandparents. This can make staying within my calories difficult, but I'm hoping to start helping with the cooking. So, I plan on introducing some healthy and delicious meals. (I'm always open for recipe suggestions!)
Reading is my favorite past time. Some of my favorites are the Harry Potter series, The Hunger Games series, the Shopaholic series, and anything by Sara Dessen. I'm always looking for something new to read, so please share your favorites! =)

Not sure how good at motivating you I will be however maybe you could start out with a couple or 3 lots of 10min excersing per day or a 30min walk.....
I find that usually clears my head and kind of renews my focus to my goal when i am struggling.....
