My Goals:
To be a certified in HKC (kettlebells), to share my love of KB with others, and to be able to shop wherever the hell I want!

My Program:
I'm a self-indulgent emotional binge volume eater and have been most of my life.

I've tried changing my lifestyle with just about everything except surgery, and that's just not gonna happen.

I want to renew my passion for Kettlebells, as I am convinced that they are the key to a healthy and fit rest of my life.

Hi K B Junky, LOL I just checked The Swing out at the lIbrary yesterday. It sounds great but I'm a little confused. It not quite clear how Tracy lost the 120 lbs. Sounds like she lost 50 lbs. by diet and walking before she started the swinging. She is also a yoga instructor so I'm thinking she was doing yoga too.

Sounds like you might know Tracy personally. Can you help me know how she lost all that weight?

Good luck with your weight release goal. Hope the swing will do the trick. I might join your team after doing a little more research. It would be great to lose a bunch of weight by swinging a kettlebell.

Hey, Sister Tess! How've ya been? How's your son and daughter doing? Are they as tall as you are yet? How's DH and life in Oregon? Hopefully, drier than it has been here in California.

I'm doing better. I got lazy and did nothing for a while, then had a health scare...BP 200/105...which put me on medication and the doc told me to halve my carbs. After a month, my blood pressure went to 125/78 and she told me to eat fish at least twice a week, vegetarian once and cut red meat to once a week, no alcohol (sigh), no refined carbs and start exercising since my cholesterol and triglycerides were still high. My BP is back down to 110/68 and hopefully when I get blood work done in two weeks, the rest will be back to normal so that I can get off the meds. I'm back to working out 3-5 times a week...intervals, resistance bands, biking, and walking. Feel much, much better and the scale is moving in the right direction!

As for life in general, oldest DD is studying psychology at Cabrillo College in Aptos and doing great...A's and happy. We like her boyfriend even though he's a Lit major emoticon

Middle DD is down at UCSD studying Chem Eng as a freshman and LOVING IT, also A's. Since she's not doing gymnastics anymore, she's taken up crew. At only 5'3" she's one of the smallest on the team, but one of the strongest. They call her "The Beast". She's been newly elected Co-Captain of the team. She also has a boyfriend whom we've never met except via Skype (when he asked our permission to date her), but he seems very nice (pre-med so very studious and a great cook, which DD loves!)

Youngest DD is still doing gymnastics...now a level 9...and is 5'8"! Taller than me!! emoticon Her growth spurt has made it difficult for her tumbling so she's been struggling this past year. It hasn't helped that she sprained her ankle a couple of weeks ago after she qualified for states. Sigh. Her grades dropped a bit this year from A's to A-B's, but she seems to have gotten back on track.

DH is working hard at Cal Maritime. He's got less than five weeks before the end of the school year since they have a four month summer with the sea cruises for training. I can't wait until he's off. The house gets clean, we get to do more stuff together, and he bikes more often. He's happier when he bikes.

When are you coming to Palo Alto? Maybe we can get together?
