Thank you so very much for reading and commenting on my blog, Loving Yourself: Positive Shift. I am so very glad that you are finding things in this series that speak to you, or that are working to help you see yourself in a different light.

I hope that you have found the time to go back and read the blogs I suggested to you, and that yu tried the technique that was given in this last blog to gently turn your focus from negative thoughts and thinking to more positive thoughts and thinking. This is something you can use every day, or if you hit a rough spot. All of these techniques are meant to be used as often as you need them. We can so easily get tossed into the “pit of despair” when we’re not present and aware of our thought process. 2HAMSDIET said that she read “it takes ten positive thoughts to balance out one negative one”. Remember, too, that your belief in what you are reading and doing is very important, and staying present in the moment is crucial.

Many of you are commenting on how these techniques are working for you, and it truly makes my heart happy to know that I’m not alone in seeing some improvement.

DAWNWATERWOMAN writes, “Counting my blessings is helping me to stay focused on the positives.”

1CRAZYDOG goes on to say, “The gratitude journal I have kept helps immensely and now I understand a little bit about why; it put that positive thought in the front of the pantry instead of hidden and forgotten in the back! Makes perfect sense.

Of all the comments from each of you, PATKEEF1’s comment spoke volumes of the truth in all of this, and touched my heart. She wrote, “This is so true. My own mother told me after I was a grown woman that she was going to name me Patricia, but when she saw me, I was too red, wrinkled, and ugly, so she called me Patsy. This is the reason when people call me Patsy I tell them don't call me that; I'm Pat, and yes I am loveable. For so long I was Patsy, and unlovable. Yes love must start with ourselves. Thank You for that reminder". Can you imagine what she has carried with her from one comment made by her mother, and that her mother constantly reinforced that ‘feeling of ugliness’ in her every time she called her that?! Pat you are truly an inspiration to us all! You have taught us all something in this one paragraph.

We are truly helping each other to discover that infinite wellspring of love we KNOW is within us. We are helping to reflect each others beauty back to them so they can once again be reminded of just how beautiful they are. emoticon Thank you so much for your contribution. emoticon
