Hi, my name is Kerri. I am a stay at home mom of three amazing boys and wife to one amazing man. I am truly enjoying sparkpeople and it's help on my weight loss journey. After having my third child and turning 30 shortly after I felt like my body was not my body...like I had no idea how it would react and what to do with it. None of the things I had always done in the past to lose pregnancy weight were working. I went from 226 down to 204 and could not budge the scale for about two years. My sister in law told me about this site. I have lost almost 20 lbs so far with sparkpeople! I finally decided to make my own page after using the other tools for about four months. I've stalled in my weightloss and am hoping being more active in the community portion of sparkpeople might help me with motivation and support. I love to run (never thought I'd be saying that!) and do Jillian Michaels workout dvds.
I hope to add pictures as I go.
7/17 Update: I am DONE!
I am losing weight again!! Woohoo!! I'm down 1.5 pounds and going strong. Thanks partyly to renewed motivation from being a part of my new sparkteams and partly to being consistent with Jillian's Frontside/Backside Beginner workout. I am getting muscle, it's awesome! I've set a new goal of getting to 160lbs by September 30 and I believe I can do it.

August is going to be a great month! I'm down about 3 pounds since finally busting my plateau and getting back on track in July, it can only get better from here. I'm hoping to get a good plan in place that I can stick to with our upcoming homeschool year. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Still shooting for 160 lbs by September 30. I believe that I can do it.

Ugh! Not doing so hot. It will now not be humanly possible for me to reach my goal of 160 by September 30. I completely sabotaged myself the last 2-3 weeks. I've gained. I will however not give up. SO, new goal, 175 by Thanksgiving.
Gained a little through the holidays. Still plugging away at my goals, working out hard training for a marathon. Throwing away the scale, lol.
Update: 6/28/2010 Haven't updated in forever, doing awesome, have a regular blog over at www.katdoesdiets.com Feel like I'm finally figuring things out!

145 is my final goal. I'm not making any interim weight goals right now because they just drive me nuts.
Accomplished my 5k goal and my marathon goal, woo! Now going back and hitting the in between distances. Need to run a half marathon and a 10k.
I am Done hating my body
I am Done being grouchy if the scale is up
I am Done wanting to stay home because I don't like how I look
I am Done using food for comfort
I am Done having a muffin top!
I am Done being a bad example for my kids
I am Done having ugly clothes because I feel too fat for cute clothes
I am Done being the fat girl!!!!!!
Clean eating. Lots of protein helps keep me from feeling famished. Good whole foods as close to the way they begin as possible.
No sugar and no artificial sugars. Lower carbs...but not low carb.
Lots of running and strength training.
Currently doing the Insanity program.

I am from an itty bitty town in Colorado. Love it. Not really close to a gym though. Which is why I choose workouts I can do at home or outside.
My #'s: I'm 5'6. 35. Married 9 years. Have 3 boys: 17, 8, and 6.

With three boys I find it challenging to work in healthy eating and working out. But I have made it a priority for myself and for the example it sets for them. I try to work out early or when my husband gets home from work. If the kids get up before I'm through with a workout I used to quit. Now I've decided they can watch! Half the time they try to join in, lol. Oh well...It's all good.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why its called the present.
