It's about the journey, not the destination. And this journey is life long. 2016 is about me, being made new, from the inside out. It's about motivation and perseverance. It's also about struggles and defeat, disappointment and setbacks, but most importantly it's about discovery and change. The low points are when we learn and grow, so this year I'm embracing them. My setbacks will not keep me down. I will reflect on the reason I made the choices I did, figure out how I can avoid repeating them in the future, and trust in God's plan for my life. I will celebrate my high points and successes, but learn from them as well, so as to be able to continue to succeed. I am building a stronger ME! My Goals:
Short term:
Get down to 199. Weight Reward: New running sneakers.

Long term:
Lose 135 lbs.

Exercise at least 15 minutes every day.

Be light enough to wear high heels again.

Wear skirts without my thighs starting a friction fire.

Wear shorts comfortably.

Wear tank tops comfortably.

Not have to buy dresses with sleeves or wear a sweater over sleeveless stuff.

Run. I mean full out sprint with out my body shaking so hard that it feels like things will fall off.

Fit places with room to spare - plane seats, theme park rides, between clothing racks at stores, bathroom stalls, etc.

Be comfortable in my own skin.

Sit with my legs crossed.

Sleep without my hands falling asleep at night.


My Program:
Portion control, eating the correct balance of foods, organic whenever possible, no preservatives, no dyes, no chemical additives, no HFCS, minimal corn and soy based foods (GMOs), minimal white carbs, and cardio at least 15 minutes every single day. No excuses!

    It was pretty good, nice and quiet at work. Friday I got my injection. That's the worst pain I've ever felt! It's feeling much better now. I even walked outside for 2 miles today!

    How's everything going with you? I see you're doing great with your fitness! How's the eating going?

    SSSLLLLOOOOOWWWW! LOL It's driving me NUTS! I did manage an outside walk yesterday, jogged three times...in my cam boot lol. I had to look ridiculous, but I don't care, it felt good!
    Headed to PT now. Ortho is Friday, and whether I want it or not, it's time for that dreaded cortisone shot. :(

    Hi Kelly! Thank you for the support and blog comment. I'm going out on a limb right now and saying I've learned my lesson and it won't happen again (we both know I'm lying, but let me live in the fantasy a bit longer lol). I haven't even been paying attention to my Fitbit numbers this past week. I'm focused on the bigger picture right now...getting this foot better so I can actually work out properly again! As it stands now, I have 2 more weeks of PT. I'm telling the ortho Thursday that I want to continue, so we'll see.

    How's it going with you? Are you making wedding progress? Just remember, focus on the baby steps, not the big picture! You can do this, you know you can. You've done it before, you know how!
