My turn - Slowly getting active

I'm a stay at home mom. I have three kids (13,11,8), a husband and several pets. I love to cook and am very good at it! Delicious healthy meals are an every day thing in our house. SparkPeople and all the friends I have made on this site are helping me to stay motivated on this long journey ahead of me. Weight loss is not a short term thing. It is a life long commitment.

My Goals:
I want to become more active. Bringing the children here and there and "taking care" of the house aren't enough.

My Program:
Eat as healthy as possible. No processed foods. Occasional dark chocolate doesn't count. Low carb (I can be a carb fiend). No white rice, white bread, white potatoes. Exercise, exercise, exercise.

To STAY MOTIVATED I DO THIS ALL THE TIME:::
1) come in, read the posts, and do your postings
2) read, join any teams that you think you like, go to My Spark Points (click there) and spin the wheel, (that is where you go everyday to start with those points)
3) get it know the people and make new friendships
4) read some article.... (you make points reading these too)
5) make yourself to exercise like walking, jogging, or whatever you would like to
6) most of all :: have fun and enjoy yourself

I never called Rutland.... studying fool with the Algebra but it paid off!
Do you want to just do lunch tomorrow? If you're gone for the summer, we can think about a bison purchase in the Fall. How does that sound?

Want to meet at Chili's for our salmon salads? I am ready for a Whole Foods trip so that would be perfect.

Hey, I sprouted the Amber Waves of grain! I am having a really tough time finding how to put in nutritional info. I think I will look on their website to see recipes. How did you use yours?

I have a study day today, so I will call Rutland. emoticon
